Dunbarton’s trading post is near the north entrance of the town, just outside the main gate. Don’t worry about the price for now this is just to help you get used to the Commerce system. Dunbarton is just west of Ceann, so this is an easy job to complete. You will start off by buying some Cobh seaweed from Uko and transport it to the Dunbarton trading post. You have to either walk by foot, or buy a Ducat wagon. Oh yeah, and in case you were wondering, no you cannot use your pets to travel faster. At the moment we don’t have that much, so let’s do a basic job first. The Large imp on the left has wagons and transportation for you to complete your trading routes faster, but it will cost you a minimum of 3000 Ducats. The small imp standing on Uko’s right has special items and weapons you can buy using your Ducats. You can cancel your trade route by clicking on the “Stop” button next to it, but keep in mind you will lose 25 percent of your investment if you don’t finish the trade route. If you need to know what items you are currently transporting click the “Info” button at the top right of the screen. If you need help there is a trading imp assistant at the top left of the screen that will give you advice and help guide you. Remember the basic rule: Buy low and sell high.Īfter you buy your items, your character will have a backpack and carry the items around. Use this as reference for where you should buy and sell your goods.
Click on an item in the left trading box, and the center box will show you how much that item is worth in each town. If you talk to Uko and click on “Trade” you can view all the items that you can buy and sell in the market. What is a Ducat? Ducats is the currency the trading system uses when buying and selling goods. When you first start out, Uko will give you 300 Ducats to get you started. The goal is to check the market prices to find the best place to sell your goods. You will get more money if you go to a town that doesn’t have the item you are selling.
Do not skip anything.įor those of you that want the quick version, here it is: buy items low in one town, and then sell them high in another. The first time you come to Ceann Uko will give you a basic tutorial on how the commerce system works, I highly recommend reading this through. After reaching the town head to the trading post and talk to Uko the trading helper. First you need to head to port Ceann, which is located just east of Dunbarton.
